Sarab is a popular Arabic-themed psychological horror game developed by Patience Zone on Roblox. The game combines sudden visual frights, audio spikes, stealth encounters, and multi-step puzzles across an abandoned neighborhood, a haunted school, and an eerie desert.
Knowing where hostile entities lurk and when jump scares trigger will keep your team from losing valuable items or getting sent back to spawn points.

The Park: Surviving the Neighborhood Madman and the Cat
The first major hurdle in Sarab begins after visiting Abu Abdullah's house. You must travel through an unlit park to reach the Al-Safa minimarket.
The Black Cat Jump Scare
While crossing through the dark park gates, a black cat will periodically shriek and jump directly onto your screen. This is a scripted jump scare designed to startle you. It does not deal direct damage, but it often causes players to panic and sprint—which directly alerts the area's real danger.
How to Evade the Madman
The Neighborhood Madman roams the pathway between Abu Abdullah’s house and the Al-Safa store:
- Audio Sensitivity: The madman reacts immediately to running footsteps. Do not sprint across open areas unless you are already detected.
- Safe Zones: The children's playground slide area and designated doorways function as Safe Zones. If you enter these areas, the madman cannot hit you and will reset his patrol after a brief pause.
- Fetching the Grocery Items: The shopkeeper requires four items: a debt notebook, a sack of rice, a carton of water, and milk. Because items slow your movement down, transport them one by one. If the madman approaches, drop the item, break line of sight, retreat to a safe zone, and retrieve the item once he moves away.
Hassan Al-Barqi School: Hallway Shadows and Classroom Traps
After delivering the grocery supplies, the shopkeeper gives you the school key and a flashlight equipped with dual functions: standard white light (toggled with F) and an Ultraviolet UV mode (toggled with R).
Ultraviolet Monsters in the Hallways
A translucent humanoid stalker wanders the school hallways. You cannot see its approach clearly under standard light, but switching to the Ultraviolet beam reveals its outline. Shining UV light on it helps track its positioning, though you must immediately move into an unlocked room or break line of sight to keep from being caught. Keep an eye on your flashlight battery percentage, which drains steadily while active. Spare batteries can be scavenged inside empty classrooms and desks.
The Timed Exam Scare
Inside one of the numbered classrooms, you are forced into a desk to sit through a timed academic exam.
- You must answer multiple-choice questions within a strict time limit (roughly 70 seconds).
- Lingering too long or submitting incorrect answers prompts the proctor entity to immediately jump scare and eliminate you, forcing you to run back from the checkpoint.
The Flooded Lab and the Valve Maze
In the upper bathroom and plumbing area, the corridors flood with dark water while a distant voice sings.
- To retrieve the blue chemical solution, you must navigate the maze and shut off 4 individual water valves.
- As the water rises, a lurking water monster begins swimming through the submerged halls. Keep moving along the perimeter walls to locate the valves and drain the room before you drown or get caught.
Hallway Projectile Stalker
In one of the upper corridor wings, a hostile figure stations itself at the far end of the hallway, hurling books and pencils at anyone attempting to advance.
- You cannot charge straight down the hallway without taking lethal damage.
- Take cover behind desks and chairs lined along the corridor, waiting for an item throw to land before dashing to the next barrier.
Chemistry Lab Puzzle Solution
To unlock the Principal's Key and escape the school, you must gather four chemical substances from around the building and pour them into the laboratory beakers in the correct sequential order. Examine the marks on the lab tables to verify the match:
- Rust / Corrosive (Brown Substance): Applied to the rusted, degraded table surface.
- Ice / Cold (Blue Substance): Retrieved from the drained water valve room and applied to the frozen table.
- Acid (Green Substance): Earned from solving classroom clues and applied to the corroded mark.
- Fire (Orange Substance): Unlocked from the 3-digit classroom lockbox and applied to the scorched table.
Once poured in the exact order demanded by the lab notes, the mechanism clicks open, granting you the Principal's Key to collect the desert folder.
Abu Noura's Apartment and the Garzam Encounter
The coordinates lead your group to Building 1431, Apartment 7, the home of the spiritual healer Abu Noura.
Defeating Garzam’s Minions
When visiting the apartment, you are instructed not to enter the living room. Investigating the strange noise triggers the entity Garzam.
- The Mirror Mechanic: Garzam's minions hide in blind spots (under beds, beside wardrobes, and in corners) and remain invisible to the naked eye.
- You must physically grab and rotate large mirrors throughout the rooms until the reflection exposes the creature.
- Once located in the mirror reflection, focus your Ultraviolet light directly at the spot to burn the entity and force it to drop the torn photograph fragments.
- The Doll / Monkey Chase: One segment requires you to chase down a possessed toy moving through the kitchen and hallways, cornering and burning it to recover the remaining photo scraps.
The Desert Camp and Multiple Endings
Reassembling the photograph sends you into the desert by car to locate the site of the buried curse.
Bad Ending: The Desert Wedding
Along the desert path, you will encounter Abu Mutlaq standing with a lantern near a glowing tent. He invites you to attend a late-night wedding dinner.
- If you accept his invitation, you are brought to a feast where the attendees possess donkey hooves.
- You are drugged, and your team wakes up stranded alone in the desert surrounded by bones, triggering a Bad Ending.
Good Ending: Neutralizing the Curse
To achieve the true resolution:
- Politely decline Abu Mutlaq's offer and stay on the path toward the shepherd's campsite.
- Use myrrh and water from the tent to tend to the shepherd's scorpion sting.
- Grab hay from the troughs and throw it far away to distract the red-eyed camel patrolling the dunes.
- Take a shovel to the marked dig sites, dig up the buried curse bottle, and sprint back to your vehicle.
- Return to Abu Abdullah's house to reveal the truth behind the ten-year-old curse and the identity of the neighborhood madman.
